Brian O’Neal

Brian O’Neal is a founding Board Member of the Scholarship Foundation, and is its current President. He founded the Chris O’Neal memorial scholarship in his late wife’s name, which emphasizes community volunteerism. 

He has been a trustee of the Anaheim Union High School District since 2002. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, and a master’s degree in business administration at California State University, Dominguez Hills. He continued his education at California State University Fullerton, taking courses in excellence in manufacturing management, and has completed certification courses for production and inventory control.

Now retired, Brian was in operations and manufacturing management for over 25 years with the most recent responsibility being with a Nissan Motor Corp. affiliate in Wilmington.  He is a member of Grace First Presbyterian Church and was on its governing board. He also is on the board of La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, a former La Palma City Councilman and a former member of an OCTA transit committee. He also served on the board of the North Orange County Regional Occupational Program and is a Commissioner with the Anaheim Sister City Commission.  

His community volunteer activities include participation as a Boy Scout adult leader for 38 years and still active; formerly serving on the Board of Youth 20/20; and acting as Neighborhood Watch Block captain for 38 years.  In addition, he has participated in the American Cancer Society’s annual Relay for Life for over 13 years. Brian was honored with the Navy Achievement Medal for service in Vietnam and was a recipient of the Boy Scouts of America’s Award of Merit. In 2001, he received the Cypress College Americana Citizen of the Year award.

Brian lives in La Palma with his wife, Radhi. He has two sons who are both graduates of John F. Kennedy High School. He also has two stepchildren and eight grandchildren.  

Your generous donations are placed in investments and only the earnings are used to fund the scholarships. Donors may be involved in establishing the criteria for designated scholarships and the Foundation will assist in the selection process.
