Carol Erbe
Carol Erbe has been a Board member since 2015. She is a former in the Cypress School District. Before her retirement in 2018, she served as principal at Damron, Cawthon, King and Arnold Schools in Cypress. She began her teaching career in the Long Beach Unified School District, first as a classroom teacher, then as a technology specialist teacher, and later as the vice principal at a K–8 school. She attended CSULB and Pepperdine Universities, and holds credentials in elementary teaching, educational technology, and administration.
Carol received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from California State University, Long Beach and a Master’s Degree in Educational Technology and Administration from Pepperdine University. She also attended a semester abroad, “Semester at Sea” through the University of Pittsburgh during her undergraduate work.
Much of Carol’s volunteer work has focused on educational opportunities for our local students. She has served on School Site Council for several Cypress Schools: Morris, Lexington, and Cypress High School. She has also been a PTA board member at Morris and Oxford Academy, a Cypress High School Band Boosters member, Athletic Booster member, and a member of the Friends of Cawthon Foundation Board. Additionally, she has served as a Girl Scout Treasurer for Troop 2292. Honors and awards received include the Golden Apple Award (Long Beach), Honorary Service Award at Morris, Cawthon, and King Schools, and the “Above and Beyond” award through the Cypress School District,
Currently, Carol is serving as a Recreation Commissioner for the City of Cypress, and volunteers at weekly food distributions through the Boys and Girls Club. Carol and her husband are proud to have lived in Cypress for over thirty year. They feel fortunate to have raised their three daughters and supported their education through the Cypress Elementary School District and the Anaheim Union High School District, both Cypress and Oxford High Schools..
Your generous donations are placed in investments and only the earnings are used to fund the scholarships. Donors may be involved in establishing the criteria for designated scholarships and the Foundation will assist in the selection process.
